Overview:

The app “VERTIGO” was initiated at the MIT Hacking Medicine in Boston in April 2023, which aimed to help clinicians quickly diagnose patients suffering from vertigo (episodic or continuous dizziness) caused by inner ear diseases like BPPV (Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo), Meniere's disease, and others. Our team decided to design a mobile app that uses the camera to track the patient's eye movement, leading to a significant improvement in diagnosis efficiency and a reduction in unnecessary scans and imaging, thereby reducing electronic waste.

Problem:
The cause of vertigo is incorrect in 80% of ER assessments. This leads to unnecessary investigations, costs, and treatment delays.

Solution:
The phone APP utilizes a camera that can assist doctors in diagnosing inner ear disease right away.
